Talk at Hmong Studies Consortium

I recently attended the sixth Hmong Studies Consortium International Conference, a multidisciplinary conference for all those who study the Hmong people and their history, culture, art, and language. Thank you to David M. Chambers and to everyone at Merced College for their hard work in hosting.

As part of the Hmong language panel, I presented an accessible talk informed by my postdoctoral research, titled Parts of speech in Hmong. I was also lucky enough to join the group discussion on the Hmong Bilingual Authorization Program at Fresno State (and on Hmong language education more generally), which was led by Vicky Xiong-Lor, Mai Julie Her, and Thong Vang.
